AKG C900 wins TEC award 2002 Microphone Technology/ Sound Reinforcement
On October 7, 2002 , the studio scene moguls gathered at the ballroom of the Wilshire Hotel L.A. for the "TEC Awards" ceremony for the winning entries selected by the readers of "MIX Magazine" from 150 nominations in 24 categories.

The supplied Presence Boost Adapter can be installed to boost the 5 to 9 kHz range by 2 to 4 dB for even more brilliant high-frequency sound and better intelligibility. This improvement adds to the microphone's versatility in vocal performance use as well as overhead, cymbal, or hi-hat miking.
A patented manufacturing technology (US Pat. No. 4,790,021) ensures an optimally even electrode surface. The results are highly accurate response and high gain before feedback.
In addition to the transducer case and the decorative ring, the XLR connector is 24-carat hard gold plated, too for exceptionally reliable electrical contact.
The wire-mesh grill is made of first-rate spring steel to provide added protection from the hardships of touring.
The impact resistant die-cast metal body is finished with "soft-touch" enamel that feels pleasant to the touch.
