Denon introduces new professional grade MiniDisc recorder with optimal sonic clarity
Denon Electronics is now showing their newest professional minidisc recorder, the DMD-1000P. This fully-featured, 3U rack-mountable MD recorder provides advanced circuitry and signal conversion for maximum resolution for playback and recording.
The new DMD-1000P uses Denon's Advanced Super Linear Converter for D/A conversion for even greater accuracy in digital translation upon playback. This system provides maximum low level resolution for an increased dynamic range, superb transparency and clarity in critical listening situations. Signal can be output through either the optical digital output or an analog output pair.

On the recording side, the DMD-1000P features an enhanced Dual-bit Delta Sigma 20 bit A/D converter with 64-times oversampling. Improved dynamic range and built in digital sample rate conversion (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48kHz) also offer flexibility and compatibility when recording. Input options, which are mono or stereo selectable, include 2 optical digital, 1 coaxial digital, and 1 analog pair.
The DMD-1000P also hosts a full range of minidisc editing functions such as: Divide, Combine, Move, Erase, Disc Name Erase, All Name Erase and Undo. Features like Program Move for rearranging program order and Rehearsal for previewing edits are just a couple of the time saving conveniences this unit has to offer. The units Disc Recovery function also helps to restore valuable recording time often lost on discs which have been frequently edited.
To aid in getting the best possible signal on first takes, Denon has also added an Auto-Record Pause function, automatically setting the player in Record-Pause (standby) mode when a blank disc is inserted. This combined with the Synchro Level Recording Auto-start function make preparation for recording smoother, especially when changing discs. The most critical functions are also accessible via the supplied remote control.
The DMD-1000P is available immediately.
