Korg expands online presence with new features and interactivity
Korg has announced several new key features and additions to its website, www.korg.com, designed to provide an even better link between users and the Korg product line. By using the site's interactive and intuitive interface, users can now explore even more of what Korg products have to offer on an ongoing and ever-changing basis. From online demos and product update information, to artist interviews and online product registration, www.korg.com provides an invaluable multimedia experience for both the Korg and soon-to-be Korg user.
Some of the more unique features of the enhanced site are the sounds. New MP3 soundbytes include everything from hearing online demos of product sounds and capabilities, to artists talking about how they are using the gear in the studio and out on the road. Demos for products such as the ElectribeoA and ElectribeoR, utilize Beatnik™ technology, allowing the user to get a true feel for what the product does, via an interactive online demo. In addition, the enhanced site has the capability of previewing new gear as well as showcasing sneak previews of soon-to-be released products - all on demand, 24/7/365 - when the user wants it.
Given Korg's extensive line of products, from music workstations, to complete recording packages, to tuners and dance/rhythm instruments, an extensive online product information section is also provided. It offers advanced information and specs, along with links to reviews by leading publications and other media sources. The site also keeps equipment purchasers up to date on new product revisions, software updates and rebate forms and promotions. Downloadable drivers and operating system upgrades can be found, with manuals, supplementary sounds and FAQs soon to come. An archive section is also under construction, and it will provide documentation on classic Korg gear.
One of the site's most useful resource features is the online dealer locator. This easy-to-use web tool can direct potential customers to their nearest authorized Korg dealer. In addition, an Authorized Service Locator provides end users access to their nearest Authorized Service Center. Other enhancements include online registration and signup for Korg's mailing list for future updates and special offers.
