Native Instruments presents Reaktor SessionReaktor Session was designed by Native Instruments to give full access to a world of exceptional instruments, a vast library of synthesizers and resynthesizers, samplers and beat-loopers, groove and drum machines, surround and innovative effects, and pattern and control sequencers, all powered by the Reaktor engine.Each instrument includes a wide range of preset sounds for instant use, while convenient patch management lets one create and save sounds. Reaktor Session also gives access to the ever-growing online library at the Native Instruments web site. Easy Studio Design With Reaktor Session it is possible to design an individual studio environment from pre-built instruments. Multiple instruments can easily be connected together in the streamlined structure editor. Sequencers, synthesizers, samplers, and effects can be mixed. Reaktor Session's intuitive user interface helps to effortlessly realize studio ideas. A built in instrument/sample browser and convenient features such as prelisten, replace, and insert make the selection, exchange, and addition of instruments easy. Uncompromised Quality and Performance The sound quality of Reaktor Session is unsurpassed. The highly-optimized DSP algorithms of the 32-bit Reaktor engine and up to 192 khz sample rate support ensure an matchless sound with surprisingly little CPU usage. Full Control All user interface objects can be fully controlled over MIDI with the built-in MIDI learn function. After the activation of MIDI learn for the desired parameter, any hardware controller only needs to be moved in order to assign it to a parameter. Naturally, all MIDI settings are saved with the instrument. Seamless Compatibility Reaktor Session supports nearly all professional native audio interfaces to seamlessly integrate into every studio. With minimal latency and excellent timing, it runs on both Windows and MacOS. Reaktor Session smoothly integrates into the virtual studio as a VST 2.0 or DXi plug-in. Even the most complex Reaktor creations appear as one plugin under VST and DXi, and multiple instances can be opened simultaneously. As a standalone application, Reaktor Session supports ASIO, DirectConnect, and MAS. Reaktor Instruments Synthesizers The Reaktor Session library offers a world-renowned collection of synthesizers from analog-modelling to FM, from wavetable to additive. Each synthesizer includes many presets for an astonishing range of sounds right out of the box. The extremely-refined DSP algorithms of the Reaktor engine ensure that the sound of each synthesizer is up to the highest standards. High quality oscillators, filters, and envelopes produce warmly authentic "analog" bass, lead, and string sounds. FM, ring-modulation, and hard-sync synthesizers produce a broad scope of organically complex and metallic sounds. Samplers and Transformers The sampler and transformer machines included in Reaktor Session enable everything from quick and convenient sampling to a full granular workout. Samples can even be used as waveforms, or as the basis of FM synthesis and waveshaping. Several resynthesis instruments in the library allows for the variation of speed and pitch independent of one another, and for the freezing of the sound in time. Sequencers, Drum Machines and Loop Machines Many instruments in the Reaktor Session library combine synthesis and sampling with sequencing for a variety of sequenced synths, beat boxes, and loop manipulators. A global tempo control ensures that multiple sequencers and even loop playback will always run in sync. Graphical note editors and random pattern generators create inspired tools which can be used for the creation of new loops, or can be played live. Effects Reaktor Session can also be used as an extremely flexible effects processor. You can process sounds in VST or DXi from the audio inputs, or from the internal instruments. The effect library covers a full range of delay, reverb and modulation effects, filters, distortions, and dynamics processors, panning and surround effects, and granular pitch and vocoder effects. All effects can be combined for the creation of completely new realtime processing chains. Mixer A comprehensive selection of mixers and routers allow you to mix the input signals and instruments together, and to combine insert and send effects into the signal flow. Reaktor Session will be available in August 2002. The recommended retail price in the US is $349. The recommended retail price in Europe is 349 Euro. All DYNAMO users will be able to upgrade to Reaktor Session for 99 Euro in Europe and $99 in the US.
