Percussive Sounds in Dance Rhythms
Many types of samples and sounds are used in dance music to create new types of sounds. Getting and creating new sounds using filters, effects or other techniques make a song groove.
Especially if you want to create either very commercial sounds or alternative sounds you need a new sound for the drums. Using the same bass drum sound for 12 tracks on an album will usually not get you anywhere in dance music. For a song to be successful you need a unique sound.
