ToneWorks AX1500G Multi Effects Modeling Processor For Recording and live
{2237.jpgrBuilding on the success of their acclaimed line of effects units and modeling signal processors, ToneWorks has introduced the AX1500G. This unit features Korg's exclusive REMS* technology for superior sound, along with versatile new channel and effects switching options, plus a multitude of performance and practice features. A unique design featuring "chicken head" style knobs and a reverse backlit illuminated (red-on-black) LCD display, provide greater visibility and more precise tailoring of sounds. 96 effects programs (48 user/48 preset) and 56 effect types round out this powerful new unit.
The AX1500G couples powerful effects and signal processing with the latest innovations in amp and cabinet emulation. Each effects Program features two footswitchable drive channels, designated by a different LED color. The user can select a specific drive amp/cab setting per channel within each program, and the AX1500G will remember those settings. Using a new Effect Channel Hold function, the player can specify whether the current channel in use, or a pre-determined channel, will be automatically called up each time a new program is selected.
Each of the AX1500G's 96 program presets allows up to eight of the 56 different effect types to be used at once. A wide selection of popular effects, such as distortion, chorus, flanger and phaser are included, along with several more radical effects such as Ring Modulator. The AX1500G's Individual Mode allows for more precise Tap Tempo input and Sample & Play functions via a pedal switch (as well as standard expression pedal input). This mode also allows each individual effect in a given program to be turned on or off via pedal switches. The expression pedal allows real-time control of 11 of these effects, from Volume and Wah, to Pitch Bend and Talking Modulator.
A unique Sample & Play function allows users to record up to eight seconds of audio, then loop or reverse loop the audio for producing special scratching effects. The user can also play over the loops for a full-sounding performance.
The AX1500G's Phrase Trainer lets the user record up to 16 seconds of external audio (CD, cassette or guitar playing), and reduce its speed up to 75% without changing the pitch - useful for learning intricate passages/riffs.
Housed in a heavy-duty metal casing, the AX1500G features a 1/4" phone jack Guitar input and an AUX IN stereo mini jack. Outputs include two 1/4" phone jacks and a stereo mini jack output for headphone use. Also included are a built-in Korg metronome and auto chromatic tuner.
